Our butterflys are raised in butterfly farms, where they were all part of breeding programs. On average, a butterfly will only live a day or so after breeding. All of these butterflys died naturally - none are ever killed or taken from the wild, nor are any of them endangered.

Our artist, John Jurek, has been creating butterfly art for many years, and his displays are gorgeous. Mother Nature does the hard work, of course, but John has the eye of an artist when it comes to arranging the displays. They are all carefully preserved and mounted in air-tight acrylic cases, so no bacteria can damage them. Because of the see-through cases you can view the back-side of the butterflys, which is their camouflage from predators. The differences between front and back are sometimes amazing! All of these cases may be either hung on the wall of placed on a shelf or table.

The butterfly cases which are shown on the web site are always available for order. There are endless combinations possible, and most of them are one of a kind.
